Bhopal, April 18 -- The Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) administration has distanced itself from the food poisoning incident by passing the investigation to the food department, leaving the lab report as the only potential source of clarity on the cause of the outbreak.
Samples from the affected kitchen were collected by the food safety inspection team, but as the samples were gathered nearly 48 hours after the contaminated food was consumed, the likelihood of identifying the cause is minimal, as some of the aloo paratha served that night was no longer available.
