DURG, Feb. 25 -- A special POCSO court in Chhattisgarh's Durg district on Wednesday sentenced a 40-year-old man to life imprisonment until death for raping his 13-year-old daughter between August 2014 and July 2019.
Although the crime was committed over the years, the case was lodged in 2019.
First Fast Track Special POCSO and Additional Sessions Judge Shubhra Pachouri ordered the man to remain in jail for the rest of his life, Special Public Prosecutor Kamal Kishore Verma told The Pioneer over telephone.
The man lived in a village in Durg district with his family including wife, son and daughter.
