New Delhi, May 31 -- Delhi Police have arrested a 35-year-old house painter for allegedly sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl in northeast Delhi's Nehru Vihar area.
The arrest, made on Friday, comes after an intensive investigation that involved the scrutiny of more than 250 CCTV camera footage and the analysis of criminal records, officials confirmed. The incident was first reported on April 3, when a complaint was filed alleging that an unknown man had lured the minor girl to a house located in Gali Number 11 of Nehru Vihar.
