Kolkata, April 30 -- Bengal Chief Minister will on Wednesday inaugurate thestunning replica of Puri's Jagannath Temple constructed at the beach town of Digha, a four-hour drive from Kolkata.
The grand facsimile of the Puri's iconic ancient structure imitating the Kalinga school of architecture and built by the State owned Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. comes up at a cost of '250 crores.
The Trinamool Congress think tank hopes the Wednesday's mega act would not only go a distance in mopping Banerjee's alleged "anti Hindu" and "pro Muslim" image but it will also stand out as an answer to Ayodhya's Ram temple the construction of which was inspired and inaugurated a few years ago by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
