Kolkata, Feb. 19 -- Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has hailed the farmers' movement in north India to extract the "guarantee" on minimum support price.
Banerjee said that she not only supported and saluted the farmers for the bravery they were showing but also condemned the BJP Government which was bringing down all kinds of atrocities on them.
"I am giving support price to our farmers which is why there is no agitation in Bengal," Banerjee said adding "the BJP Government in the Centre is not giving the guarantee of MSP which is why the farmers are protesting . and this cruel Government is attacking the farmers . I condemn the attacks and salute their bravery."
