Kolkata, March 5 -- Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for peddling lies on issues concerning Bengal and demanded his apology.
Addressing a meeting at Tamluk in East Midnapore she said, "the Prime Minister during his recent visit to Bengal said that Rs 47,000 crore was given to our State and that we have misappropriated the money . but here is the fact that I am placing before you and challenging anyone from the BJP to prove it wrong . from 2014 to 2021-22 the BJP Government gave us Rs 29,834 crore . in Awas Yojna the State Government gave Rs 20,000 crore . between 2021-22 and 2023-24 they gave not a single penny . despite that we constructed 43 lakh houses . this is a fact for everyone to ...
