Dehradun, July 14 -- The Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj has said that his department would request the state government to reduce the mandatory seven days of quarantine period to three days for the tourists who reach the state without the Covid-19 negative test report.

Talking to the media persons, he said that the reduction of the quarantine period would ensure less hassles to the tourists.

He said that the carrying capacity of the Char Dhams should be calculated keeping in view the social distancing norms due to Covid-19 pandemic and pilgrims be allowed to visit these shrines.
