Mumbai, Oct. 21 -- In a rise in the number of deaths and infections, as many as 213 more people died of Covid-19 and 8,151 others tested positive for the pandemic in various parts of the state on Tuesday.
A day after the state logged 125 deaths and 5984 infected cases, Maharashtra witnessed an increase of 88 deaths in the number of fatalities to take3 the tally to 213 and a rise of 2167 in the number of infections to take the tally of new cases to 8,151.
With 213 fresh deaths, the Covid-19 toll rose from 42,240 to 42,453. Similarly with 8,151 new infections, the total infected cases jumped from 16,01,365 to 16,09,516.
