Bhopal, June 25 -- Electricity consumers across Madhya Pradesh are set to face a noticeable increase in their monthly bills starting in July. The impending hike is primarily attributed to the implementation of new charges for the security fund and an adjustment in the Fuel and Power Purchase Adjustment (FPA) component, signaling a shift in the cost recovery mechanism for power utilities.
The FPA charge, which accounts for fluctuations in the cost of fuel and power purchased by distribution companies, will see an increase of 4.67%.
