Mahakumbh Nagar, Feb. 16 -- Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Goa Chief Minister Promod Sawant took a holy dip in Sangam on Saturday.
Om Birla visited Mahakumbh Nagar on Saturday and took a holy dip in Triveni Sangam. He described the Maha Kumbh as a symbol of India's spiritual faith and a celebration of the nation's ancient culture and religious heritage.
On this occasion, Birla sought the blessings of Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna and Maa Saraswati and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the country. He said, "May grace of Maa Ganga always remain on everyone and every person's life be filled with joy."
