Bhopal, Oct. 4 -- A major accident was averted in the night on Sunday in Chhola Mandir of the State capital after two gas cylinders kept in a slum caught fire and were pacified before it could explode and cause massive damage.

As soon as flames started rising from the slum. Firefighters reached the spot and pacified the fire. People also helped in extinguishing the fire by pouring water. The shanties situated on the side of the railway track in Chola Mandir reported a sudden fire broke out in a shanty which also engulfed the nearby slum.
