Bhopal, June 3 -- In a tragic incident in Ramchua village, Maihar, a young man shot and killed his girlfriend's father after he opposed their marriage. The incident took place on Sunday night between 9 and 9:30 PM when Mahendra Singh, the father of the girl, was lying outside his house on the farm.
According to police, the accused, identified as Dhruv Kumar, who had been hiding at the location, approached Mahendra Singh and shot him in the chest with a country-made pistol, killing him on the spot. Hearing the gunshot, family members rushed outside and found Mahendra lying on the ground, soaked in blood. Witnesses saw two youths fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.
