India, Dec. 3 -- Delhi Lt Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has reduced the penalty of "compulsory retirement" imposed on an MCD teacher and diluted the same to "reduction by one stage in the time scale of pay for a period of one year without cumulative effect."

Giving details, Raj Niwas said on Wednesday, the penalty was imposed by the MCD Commissioner in a matter of a domestic dispute case against the teacher by his wife. The LG reduced the penalty following an appeal by the teacher.

A case was registered against Vikram, MCD Teacher, by his wife, who lodged an FIR against him, alleging that he had beaten his son for not being able to recite mathematical tables and had acted violently when countered by his wife.
