India, Dec. 10 -- The Centre on Tuesday said the number of districts affected by left-wing extremism has decreased from 126 in April 2018 to 90 in July 2021, 70 in April 2024, 38 in April 2025, and further to 11 in October 2025, with only three districts now considered to be the "most affected" by left-wing extremism. The Pioneer carried a report on December 8, 2025, that only three districts are now most affected by Naxalism in Chhattisgarh.
