Leaders throng AIIMS to enquire about Jaitley's health
NEW DELHI, Aug. 19 -- Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani and Ram Vilas Paswan visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Sunday to enquire about the health condition of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who was admitted there on August 9 after he complained of uneasiness and weakness.
Jaitley has been put on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), which is used for patients whose lungs and heart are incapable of operating on their own, hospital sources said. The AIIMS administration has not released a single medical bulletin regarding his health condition since August 10.
