New Delhi, June 5 -- With Delhi Lt Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena approval for exemption of a 2.16-hectare area for transplantation/cutting of 27 trees, the last hurdle for a flyover project at the Nand Nagri-Gagan cinema junction is removed, Raj Niwas said on Wednesday. The proposal already cleared by the Environment Department, Chief Secretary, Environment Minister and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will address the long pending issue of traffic jam and commuting in the area. It involves removal of 27 trees in due of which compensatory transplantation and afforestation will be undertaken as per laid down norms.
