Revered for introducing and nurturing the ancient practice of Yoga in Bhopal, Dr Ganguly's lifelong mission transformed the city into a centre of yogic learning and spiritual discipline.

Born on March 24, 1919, in the Mymensingh district of present-day Bangladesh, Dr Ganguly hailed from a respected and educated family. Drawn to Yoga from a young age, he began practicing and teaching it by the age of 19.
