Prayagraj, Feb. 15 -- In a shocking incident ahead of the Maha Kumbh 2025, Kinnar Akhada's Mahamandaleshwar Kalyani Nand Giri and three of her followers were injured in a brutal knife attack late on February 14 in Prayagraj.
The assault took place near Sangam Lower Marg when unidentified assailants stopped their vehicle under the pretext of seeking blessings.
According to police sources, Kalyani Nand Giri and her followers were returning from the Kinnar Akhada to her residence in Sadiyapur in a Fortuner SUV when a group of individuals signaled them to stop.
As the spiritual leader stepped out of her vehicle, the attackers suddenly drew knives and launched an assault.
