India, April 9 -- A 500-bedded Odisha COVID-19 hospital managed and run by Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bhubaneswar has become operational. Government of Odisha is financing equipment and operational costs through CSR policy of OMC. It has been set up under a tripartite agreement among Government of Odisha, KIMS and OMC. Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha, declared the hospital operational in the presence of Dr Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT and KISS; Dr Subrat Acharya, pro-chancellor, KIIT Deemed to University and Dr Bishnu Prasad Panigrahi, CEO, KIMS.
