Ludhiana/Chandigarh, March 19 -- Declaring an all-out war against the drug menace in Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi's former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced a statewide mass movement against drugs starting April 1.

Kejriwal, flanked by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann while addressing a massive gathering at the Indoor Stadium in Ludhiana, vowed to mobilize three crore Punjabis to eradicate drugs from the state. He announced a multi-pronged strategy that includes a drug census, anti-drone technology to curb smuggling from Pakistan, and a crackdown on influential politicians involved in the drug trade.
