Jammu, July 19 -- In a simple ceremony, 66-year-old former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta, was sworn in as the third Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhawan.
The oath of office was administered by Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, in the presence of Gupta's family, senior officials, and dignitaries from across the region.
Before assuming office, Gupta sought the blessings of the Dalai Lama, who is currently in Leh, underscoring his commitment to inclusivity
and unity.
