Bhopal, May 27 -- Dr Kailashnath Katju Hospital in the state capital has recorded a 15% increase in normal deliveries, highlighting its commitment to safe, natural childbirth and faster maternal recovery.
The hospital, which handles 40-45% high-risk referral cases, typically sees more caesarean sections. Despite this, the recent rise in natural births marks a notable shift in clinical outcomes.
In 2023, 52% of the 1,528 deliveries were normal. In 2024, 67% of 5,175 births were natural. Hospital officials credit the increase to staff dedication, antenatal guidance and improved awareness.
