India, Nov. 22 -- Delhi Labour Minister Kapil Mishra on Friday called the Centre's decision to roll out the new Labour Codes that will reshape working conditions across the country. He said the move shows the Centre's intent to provide stronger protection and dignity to India's workforce.

Mishra said the new framework guarantees a minimum wage for all workers nationwide. He said mandatory appointment letters will bring clarity for young employees and reduce disputes. He added that equal pay for women will strengthen workplace equality.

The minister said Delhi will implement all major provisions soon. He said fixed-term employees will now be eligible for gratuity after one year of service.
