PURI, Nov. 23 -- Kanwar Vishal Singh on Sunday took charge as the Puri SP. Earlier, he was serving as the Sambalpur SP.
He succeeded Akhileshwar Singh after the latter was transferred and attached to State Police Headquarters on November 20, a day after the alleged custodial death of an accused in Puri town.
Kanwar Vishal Singh told media that he would endeavour to make Puri crimes-free and improve the overall law and order situation in the holy city with cooperation of he people.
