Jamshedpur, May 13 -- A Jharkhand Jaguar constable, Manoj Kumar Damai , was seriously injured this morning after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Naxalites exploded during a defusal attempt in the dense forest area under the jurisdiction of Chotanagra and Geraikela Police Stations in West Singhbhum.
The explosion occurred around 10:45 AM while security forces were actively working to detect and defuse IEDs planted in the area. Damai , who was part of the advance team securing the region, sustained injuries to his right leg.
