Bhopal, April 22 -- District Panchayat Vice-President Mohan Singh Jat, in a letter to the Collector, on Monday threatened to begin a hunger strike from April 24 over inconsistencies in the rural Nal-Jal schemes.
In a massive, Jat informed Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, that he would launch the protest at the District Panchayat office if urgent action was not taken.
Following the letter, District CEO Ila Tiwari demanded a report within three days and ordered the formation of inspection teams to assess the Nal-Jal schemes.
The teams will visit panchayats under Fanda and Berasia blocks, covering schemes at every stage - approved, under construction, in trial, or pending execution.
