Bhopal, May 5 -- At a lecture on Shankaracharya Jayanti in the state capital on Friday, officials and volunteers drew inspiration from the saint's life and urged greater commitment to social service.
The event, organised by the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, featured Council Vice President Mohan Nagar, Executive Director Bakul Lad, and social worker Anil Upadhyay as key speakers.
The lecture began with prayers and lamp-lighting before a portrait of Adi Shankaracharya. Nagar said Shankaracharya fostered cultural unity by simplifying Vedic texts through his commentaries.
