Bhopal, June 30 -- The grassroots water conservation efforts under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan are quietly transforming farmlands and families, proving that sustainability and hope can walk hand in hand.

For Arjun Singh, a farmer from Manikhedi village in Bhopal district, the monsoon no longer feels like a gamble. Once entirely dependent on erratic rainfall, his fortunes changed with a small yet powerful intervention: a farm pond built under the Jal Ganga campaign. With a capacity of 3,600 cubic metres and constructed at a cost of Rs 4.74 lakh, the pond now ensures reliable irrigation and the possibility of income through activities like fish farming.
