Jammu, May 7 -- Gripped by war hysteria, the majority of the border residents living in the direct line of fire on the International border (IB) and along the line of control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir are a worried lot.

The schedule of mock drill exercises aimed at enhancing emergency preparedness and preparing the common citizens to cope during wartime emergencies has further aggravated their concerns about the lack of medical facilities in the region.

On Tuesday, when media teams visited some of the border areas of the Jammu frontier, several villagers highlighted the issue of poor emergency services in the forward areas.
