India, Jan. 27 -- On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, 15 personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were conferred with prestigious service medals for their distinguished and meritorious contributions to the nation. The honours list, announced on the eve of the celebrations, included three President's Medals for Distinguished Service and 12 Medals for Meritorious Service, recognising the "Himveers" for their steadfast devotion to duty along the country's arduous frontiers.
