Bhopal, Oct. 18 -- The Inter-ministerial central team on a visit to the state for the assessment of crop damage caused by excessive rainfall in the State called on the Governor Lalji Tandon at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

The Governor asked the team to study the damage caused with sensitivity towards the farmers and poor hit by excess rainfall in the state. The damage should be assessed with a liberal and practical approach. He said that there are reports of loss of soybean and other crops due to excessive rainfall in the state. He said that soybean crop is produced in a large area of the state.
