Jammu, April 20 -- In the cold desert region of Ladakh, the Indian Army is 'warming up the hearts' and 'ringing in happiness' for thousands of families of soldiers, standing guard at the Siachen glacier - the world's highest battlefield and several other high-altitude forward locations, both in the eastern and western Ladakh sector, by providing round-the-clock seamless high-speed mobile connectivity thereby enabling them to stay in touch with each other.
For a long time, soldiers deployed in high-altitude forward locations, including the Galwan valley, used to wait for their turn to make a return call to speak to their loved ones and ask about their well-being. Due to adverse weather conditions and inhospitable terrain, they even failed...
