New Delhi, May 23 -- Rejecting President Donald Trump's claims that Washington played a role in reducing tensions between India and Pakistan, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said understanding on cessation of hostilities was arrived at following direct negotiations between the two sides. When asked about top US officials - including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the Vice President - reaching out to their Indian counterparts, Jaishankar confirmed they did, but clarified that they only conveyed their concerns.
