New Delhi, May 5 -- The CPI(M) has said India should resist moves harmful to farmers' interests while hammering out a bilateral trade deal with the US and accused the Modi Government of voluntarily cutting tariffs on American imports to "appease" Washington. The left party also said the terror attack in Pahalgam was the result of a major security lapse that must be investigated and accountability for it fixed and stressed on prioritising identifying and punishing the perpetrators. It also expressed concern over the attack being used to create polarisation.
