Dehradun, Oct. 24 -- The Governor of Uttarakhand, Baby Rani Maurya, has said that it is very important to ensure that the students remain connected to the Indian culture and tradition.

She was speaking at a programme organised to celebrate 19th foundation day of the Indian Public School here on Wednesday.

She said that apart from teaching science, arts and other subjects, the students should also be taught about Indian culture and our tradition. The Governor said that the basic objective of the education should be to inspire students for nation building by inculcating Indian culture along with modern science and education.
