Gwalior, May 25 -- The Chief Imam of the All India Imam Organisation (AIIO), Umar Ahmed Ilyasi, issued a fatwa against terrorism on Saturday, declaring terrorists un-Islamic and denying them funeral rites or burial on Indian soil.
During a visit to Gwalior, Ilyasi praised the Indian Army's "Operation Sindoor" in response to the recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam. He stated that the armed forces had given a befitting response to terrorism.
Referring to the ongoing atrocities in Balochistan, Ilyasi said that women, children and men are facing severe oppression, which is wholly unjust. He stressed that every individual has the right to freedom, and Balochistan too deserves to be free.
