IMA angry on allowing surgery to Ayurveda docs
Dehradun, Nov. 23 -- Taking strong exception to the Union government's decision to allow the post graduate students of Indian medicines like Ayurveda to formally practice general surgery including Ortho and dentistry, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has said that the move would corrupt modern medicine. The Uttarakhand chapter of the IMA has demanded that the government should reconsider the decision. The general secretary of the IMA Uttarakhand, Dr D D Chaudhury told The Pioneer that the government should have taken IMA into confidence before taking the decision.
