BHOPAL, Feb. 20 -- The Excise Department conducted a raid in the Gandhinagar area on Tuesday, seizing illegally transported liquor stored in multiple canes. Acting on the instructions of Assistant Excise Commissioner Deepam Raichura, the excise team confiscated and destroyed the illicit liquor by pouring it on the ground. Around 15 canes filled with liquor were disposed of during the operation.
Excise Controller HS Goyal stated that strict action is being taken against those involved in the illegal sale and transportation of liquor in Bhopal. Multiple teams are actively conducting raids in different areas to curb such activities. On Tuesday, three to four teams carried out operations at various locations.
