Kolkata, March 27 -- A research scholar from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur was heckled, harassed and badly beaten up inside a police station in Murshidabad district where the victim had gone to lodge a general diary about his missing bank passbook.
According a complaint filed by Iman Kalyan a PhD scholar at IIT Kharagpur early this week when he went to Domklal Police Station in Murshidaad district to register a general diary regarding the loss of his bank passbook he was severely beaten up by a Sub Inspector of Police Ujwal Biswas also referred to as Mejo Babu.
