New Delhi, June 5 -- A second-year student at the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside his hostel room on the campus on Wednesday.

According to police, the body had no visible injury marks, though vomit was found on the floor near the bed, suggesting possible medical complications. The student is said to be from Chandigarh and was pursuing a degree in Biomechanical Engineering while residing in one of the institute's hostels.

According to police officials, a Police Control Room (PCR) call was received at the Kishangarh Police Station on the morning of Wednesday, reporting that a student was not responding or opening the door of his room despite repeated knocks.
