Ranchi, May 19 -- Traditional knee replacements are performed manually by skilled surgeons using tools that require deep anatomical knowledge and a steady hand. Now, humanoid robots have stepped in-not to replace surgeons, but to assist them with enhanced precision and data-driven decision-making.

In total knee replacement the alignment of the limbs are corrected and damaged joint surface is resurfaced with the help of conventional instruments taking reference from the patients' bony landmarks.
