Chandigarh, Feb. 10 -- A day after the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) suffered a major defeat in Delhi assembly polls, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday celebrated the BJP's historic surge by personally serving jalebis at Haryana Bhavan in New Delhi.

Saini was at the centre of a controversy on the eve of the elections after former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP-led Haryana Government of "poisoning" the Yamuna waters. Terming AAP's loss as a major rebuttal of Kejriwal's "politics of accusations", Saini said: "Time to have jalebis".
