Chandigarh, March 25 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday approved contracts worth Rs 109.30 crore during the meeting of the High-Powered Works Committee (HPWC) in Chandigarh, including establishing an Ultra-Modern Fire Station in Panipat Municipal Corporation area at a cost of Rs 17.85 crore. Negotiations with various bidders during the meeting resulted in a significant cost saving of Rs 6.92 crore.
The government official spokesperson said that approval was also given for installation of new LEDs and replacement of existing street lights with energy-efficient LED street lights, along with a Centralized Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) panel for a smart lighting system in Yamunanagar, at a cost of Rs 16.50 crore.
