Shimla, May 26 -- Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has come under the scanner over alleged irregularities in the appointment of Heads of Departments (HODs) at its University Institute of Technology (UIT), following directives issued by the State Information Commission. The Commission's intervention, triggered by an RTI application, has prompted the university administration to take urgent corrective measures.
The issue came to light after Vinay Kumar, a concerned resident, filed an RTI query seeking details of faculty appointments.
