Shimla, July 7 -- Amid the devastation caused by flash floods and landslides in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Sunday flagged off three trucks loaded with essential relief material from Raj Bhavan. The supplies, dispatched through the State Red Cross Society, are headed to Mandi to support disaster-affected families grappling with the aftermath of cloudbursts and damaged infrastructure.
The relief consignment includes 540 blankets, 500 tarpaulin sheets, 20 boxes of clothing, kitchen sets, buckets, and other essential household items aimed at providing immediate support to those displaced or impacted by the calamity.
