Chandigarh, June 28 -- The Covid-19 triggered curfews and lockdowns, has crippled the hospitality sector in Chandigarh like the rest of the country and now it faces a long road to recovery as the scale of revenue and job losses are exponentially higher. What makes the matters worse is the uncertainty which is lurking over the sector in the remaining period of the year.

The pandemic resulted in curfew in the month of March in Chandigarh followed by lockdown restrictions in May. With the country closing borders, ban on inter-state movement, the international and domestic airline industry grinding to a halt and residents asked to stay home, the pandemic spelt big trouble for the hospitality sector.
