Chandigarh, May 14 -- A grim wave of death has swept across Punjab's Majitha region in Amritsar, where the consumption of spurious liquor has claimed 21 lives and left nine others battling for survival - four of them so critically ill that they cannot even speak. The tragedy has engulfed at least five villages, including Bhangali Kalan, Marrari Kalan, Patalpuri, Threawal, Talwandi Khumman, and Karnala, sending shockwaves across the state and prompting a flurry of action from the Government and police alike.
