Kolkata, June 2 -- Barely days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi blew the poll bugle from his North Bengal rally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday set the Hindutva tone for 2026 Assembly elections sending out a now-or-never message for the Hindus to oust a Muslim-appeaser Mamata Banerjee Government so as to save their honour, lives and property.

Shah blended Pahalgam, Pakistan, Murshidabad, trans-border infiltration, corruption, law and order, violence against women, syndicate raj and lack of development apparently referring to the talking points for party workers during door-to-door campaigns.

Shah was speaking at a general party workers' meet at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata, filled chock-a-block.
