India, Feb. 3 -- In a major move to streamline administrative processes and enhance ease of governance, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday launched 'Swagat Satirtha 2.0'. The portal is designed to facilitate the mutual transfer of Grade III and Grade IV State Government employees through a transparent, digital mechanism.

Speaking at a function held at Lok Sewa Bhawan, the Chief Minister highlighted that Assam has become the only State in the country to adopt such a transparent process. Under the new system, transfer-seeking employees can submit applications specifying five preferred districts.
