Shimla, April 25 -- The Himachal State Taxes and Excise Department officials on Wednesday conducted an operation led by Excise Commissioner Dr. Yunus in the Gagwal, Ullehrian and Tyora of Mand area of Tehsil Indora, within the revenue district of Nurpur seized over one lakh and one thousand liters of illicit liquor (lahan).
In a statement, Dr. Yunus informed that the seized liquor, valued at approximately Rs. one crore, was spilled thereafter. The operation also resulted in the confiscation of 50 thousand liters of country liquor from Gagwal area, 41 thousand liters from Ullehrian, and 10 thousand liters from Tyora.
